SlideCafe is a native desktop editor for .pptx presentations - a full WYSIWYG slide editor that opens, edits, and saves PowerPoint files right on your Mac, without a browser tab or a subscription.

A complete slide editor (text, shapes, images, tables, charts, lines, formulas, animations, transitions and themes) wrapped in a fast, native desktop app - edit your deck visually and export it back to .pptx .

2. WYSIWYG slide canvas - drag, resize, align, group, layer and recolor elements on a true slide canvas, with a thumbnail rail, rulers, grid lines and snapping.
3. Fast save with ⌘S - overwrites the original .pptx in place, no extra dialog. ⌘N for a fresh deck, ⌘O to open, ⌘⇧S for Save As.
4. Export to PPTX / PDF / image - export your deck to PowerPoint, PDF, or per-slide images from one Export panel.
5. Present mode - run the deck full-screen as a slideshow with transitions and speaker notes, straight from the editor.
6. Unsaved-changes guard - every edit marks the deck dirty; New / Open / Quit prompt before discarding work.
7. Drag-and-drop + Open With - drop a .pptx from Finder onto the window, or right-click Open With → SlideCafe . Registered as an alternate handler so it never fights PowerPoint or Keynote for the default.
8. Native macOS menu bar - proper SlideCafe / File / Edit / View / Window menus with standard ⌘ shortcuts.
9. Offline, no account, no subscription - runs entirely on your machine. Files stay on disk where you put them. No cloud sync, no telemetry, no login.

How it works

Launch SlideCafe and open a presentation from the menu, a native picker, a Finder drag, or by double-clicking a .pptx in your file manager. Edit on the full slide canvas, then hit ⌘S / Ctrl+S to overwrite the original, or use Export for PDF and images. Press Present to run the deck full-screen.

Everything runs locally on your machine - no cloud, no upload, no waiting. The unsaved-changes guard means you never lose edits to a misclick.
