SheetCafe is a native desktop editor for .xlsx, .xls, and .csv files on Mac and Windows - a familiar ribbon-style spreadsheet that opens, edits, and saves real Excel files with high fidelity, without a browser tab.

7. Drag-and-drop + Open With - drop a spreadsheet from Finder or File Explorer onto the window, double-click it in your file manager, or right-click Open With → SheetCafe. On macOS it registers as an alternate handler for the three extensions, so it never fights Excel or Numbers for the default.
8. Everything on the ribbon - New, Open, Save As, Print, and Settings live in the ribbon's File tab on both Mac and Windows. On macOS you also get the standard app menu bar with native Undo / Redo / Cut / Copy / Paste, so in-cell editing feels right.
9. Light or dark - switch the whole editor, grid included, between light and dark from Settings.
10. Your files stay yours - editing runs entirely on your machine and files stay on disk where you put them. No cloud sync, no telemetry; your getapps.cafe account only unlocks the app and never sees your spreadsheets.

How it works

Launch SheetCafe and open a file from the ribbon, a native picker, a drag from Finder or File Explorer, or by double-clicking an .xlsx in your file manager - the same workbook always lands in the same editor. Edit with the full ribbon, then hit ⌘S / Ctrl+S to overwrite the original, or use Save As for .xls / .csv / .pdf. Print opens a true preview in the app so you can flip orientation and fit-to-width before anything reaches the printer.

Everything runs locally on your machine - no cloud, no upload, no waiting. Files are read and written using the same engine professional spreadsheet tools use, so what you save is exactly what Excel would save. The unsaved-changes guard means you never lose edits to a misclick.
