DesignBrew is a fast, fully offline design editor for your Mac - make social posts, stories, posters, and presentations without a browser tab, an account, or a subscription to a cloud tool.
Start from a size preset or a ready-made template, drop in shapes, icons, text, and your own images, then export a crisp PNG, JPG, SVG, or multi-page PDF. Everything you make lives on your machine, so it opens instantly and works on a plane.
Highlights
- Templates and size presets - kick off with Instagram posts, stories, posters, presentations, and more, or set a custom canvas in pixels.
- Shapes, icons, and text - a built-in library of shapes and line icons plus heading / subheading / body text presets with dozens of bundled fonts.
- Your own images, embedded - upload photos and they are stored inside the design itself, so it stays self-contained and fully offline.
- Layers, alignment, and snapping - reorder, lock, hide, and rename layers; align to the artboard; and snap to center with live guides.
- Multi-page designs - build a whole deck or carousel in one file and page through it as you work.
- Export anywhere - save as PNG, JPG, SVG vector, or a multi-page PDF, ready to post, print, or hand off.
- Undo history and shortcuts - deep undo / redo plus keyboard shortcuts for save, duplicate, group, nudge, and delete (
⌘S,⌘D,⌘G). - Light and dark, native feel - a clean macOS-native interface that follows your system theme, with a one-click light / dark / auto toggle.
How it works
Open DesignBrew, pick a preset or template, and you land straight in the editor. Add elements from the left rail, tweak them in the properties panel on the right, and drag them around a snapping canvas. Hit ⌘S to save - your designs and their thumbnails are stored locally in ~/Library/Application Support/DesignBrew/, so nothing ever leaves your Mac. When you are done, use Export to write out a PNG, JPG, SVG, or PDF wherever you like.
