BrewCAD opens your DXF and DWG drawings in seconds and lets you actually work with them - pan, measure, edit, and print to scale - without launching a heavyweight CAD suite or paying a monthly subscription just to look at a floor plan.
No account, no cloud, no learning curve. Double-click a drawing and it opens right away on your own computer, in a clean window that stays out of your way.
Highlights
- Opens DXF and DWG - view drawings from AutoCAD and almost any CAD program; DWG files convert automatically so you can open what your team sends you.
- Smooth pan and zoom - fly around huge drawings instantly, with a grid and snapping that keep everything lined up.
- Real drawing tools - add lines, polylines, rectangles, circles, arcs, text, dimensions, and hatching right on top of an existing plan.
- Full editing - move, rotate, scale, mirror, offset, trim, extend, fillet, chamfer, and array - plus copy, paste, and arrow-key nudging.
- Precise object snaps - snap to endpoints, midpoints, centers, intersections, and more so your edits land exactly where they should.
- Layers you control - show, hide, recolour, and add layers, and pick which one new shapes are drawn onto.
- Print & export PDF - print straight to your printer, or export a single page, a tiled multi-page set, or hand-picked regions - with a live preview before you commit.
- Save back to DXF - your edits write straight back to a standard DXF file any other CAD tool can read.
- Light and dark - a native Mac interface that matches your system theme and feels right at home.
How it works
Open BrewCAD and drag in a drawing - or just double-click any DXF or DWG file. Use the toolbar to draw and edit, toggle layers on the side, and watch coordinates and zoom update live at the bottom.
When you're done, save back to DXF, or open Print / Export PDF to preview the page layout and send it to your printer or a PDF - fit to one page, tiled across several, or just the regions you choose.
Perfect for
- Anyone who just needs to open and print a DXF or DWG someone sent them.
- Builders, makers, and homeowners marking up plans without full CAD software.
- Architects and engineers wanting a fast, lightweight viewer and quick editor.
- Anyone who wants to tile a large drawing across A4/A3 pages to print at home.
