Decoresso

Decoresso puts real 3D decorations on your desktop wallpaper - a Christmas tree, a red lantern, a potted monstera, a slowly turning galaxy - each one you can grab with the mouse and spin.

Every decoration lives in its own transparent, frameless window that sits behind your apps and above the wallpaper. Nothing is a sticker or a looping video: these are lit 3D objects rendered live, so they shade correctly from whatever angle you turn them to, and they stay exactly where you left them across Spaces and restarts.

3. Grab and spin - drag any object to turn it and it keeps going with real momentum, easing back into its idle spin. Hold the right mouse button and drag to move it anywhere on screen; scroll to zoom, double-click to reset.

Almost everything is alive - candle flames flicker, snow falls inside the snow globe, saucer lights chase around the hull, a moon orbits its planet, palm fronds move on their own beats, the lighthouse beam sweeps the room. The handful that hold still are the ones that should, like a tombstone or a plate of sushi.

9. Live previews in the library - hover any card and that model spins right there, before you commit to pinning it.
10. Stays out of the way - close the window and Decoresso keeps going as a small tree icon up in the menu bar, decorations still on the wallpaper, nothing left in the dock or the app switcher. Click the tree to bring the library back, or to quit.
11. Launch at login - switch it on from the tree icon and your decorations are simply there after every restart, put back exactly where you left them, without a window opening first.
12. Tiny and offline - the models are generated in code, not downloaded assets. No accounts, no network, nothing phoning home.

How it works

Browse the library by category or favourite the ones you like, then click a card to drop it on the desktop. Each pinned decoration carries a glass toolbar that fades in when you point at it: move it, change its spin speed and direction, resize it, switch its finish, or take it away. The "On desktop" list keeps track of everything you have out and can flash any one of them so you can find it.

Feeling indecisive? "Surprise me" pins something you don't already have out.
