TypePress is a Typing Master-style touch-typing tutor for Mac and Windows that takes you from finding the home row to fast, accurate ten-finger typing.

Guided lessons teach every key with a live hand guide, Speed Test and per-key statistics show exactly what to work on, and ten typing games keep the practice fun.

How it works

Open TypePress and start with the first lesson. The app shows the next key on an on-screen keyboard and lights up the finger to press it with, so you learn correct technique from the very first keystroke. Work through the units at your own pace, run a Speed Test whenever you want a benchmark, then open Statistics to see which keys and finger transitions are holding you back.

When you want a break from drills, jump into Games and keep practising without noticing. Your progress, test history and per-key statistics live locally on your own computer, so your data stays yours and works fully offline.
