PosturePerk is the nudge you keep meaning to give yourself. It watches the clock while you work, then quietly asks you to sit up, look away, stand and stretch, or go refill your glass.
No account, no sign-up wall, no data leaving your computer. Set two numbers, press start, and get on with your day.
Highlights
- A timer you can forget about - Work for 30 minutes, take 3, repeat. Both numbers are yours to change, and the countdown keeps running whether the window is open or tucked away.
- Every nudge is a guided routine - Not just "take a break" but a short sequence to follow: stand up, roll your shoulders back, reach overhead, sit back down with your feet flat. Each movement draws itself as a little figure that moves through the posture, so you can copy it without reading a word.
- Stretch now, when you need it - Stiff before the timer is ready? One button on the Timer screen starts the routine straight away. It pulls the next nudge forward rather than piling an extra one on top, and it counts towards your day exactly like a nudge that arrived on its own.
- The reminder comes to you - When a nudge is due, PosturePerk raises its window in front of whatever you were doing, so the routine is on screen instead of buried behind an editor. A notification you never look at is a break you never take. Prefer to be left alone? Switch it off and the notification arrives by itself.
- A ring paces each movement - It counts the movement you are on and moves to the next one by itself, while the dial keeps counting the break. Cannot do one of them today? Next move skips that step without skipping the whole break.
- It fits the break you chose - Breaks run from one minute to fifteen. A short break plays the movements that matter most; a long one finishes with a calm wind-down instead of looping the same thing at you.
- 19 prompts across four kinds of break - Posture, stretch, eyes and hydration, cycling in turn so you never get the same reminder twice running. Switch off any kind you do not want.
- Lives in the menu bar - The time to your next nudge sits up by the clock. Pause, resume, snooze or answer a nudge without opening a window at all.
- Snooze, for when you are mid-thought - Push a nudge back five minutes instead of dismissing it, and it comes back rather than disappearing.
- A streak worth keeping - Every break you take counts toward a daily streak, with a seven-day chart showing what you took and what you skipped.
- Honest numbers - Taken, skipped and snoozed are counted separately. Skipping a break does not quietly count as taking one.
- Starts when you do - Turn on start-at-login and the reminders are running before you have finished opening your email.
- Light and dark - Follows your system appearance, or pin it to whichever you prefer.

How it works
Open PosturePerk and press Start. The dial counts down your work interval, and the time left also shows in the menu bar so you can glance at it without switching apps.
When the interval runs out you get a notification and the dial turns amber with a short routine to follow, one movement at a time, each drawn as a figure moving through it. A ring around the figure paces the movement and hands over to the next one when it fills. Press Done when you have finished, push it back with Snooze, or press Skip if now is genuinely the wrong moment. Whichever you choose is recorded, and the next interval starts straight away.
Perfect for
- Anyone who sits at a desk all day and notices it in their neck and shoulders by the evening.
- Deep workers who lose three hours at a time and want a gentle interruption rather than a jarring one.
- People coming back from a strain injury who have been told to move regularly and need reminding.
- Anyone who already keeps streaks for habits and wants one for standing up.
