Fresh Brews: CremaStudio Gets Cheaper and Two Coming Soon
CremaStudio drops to $11.99, TinyVideo and ScanStraightener join the waitlist, and the photo tools on the menu now share one shelf.
CremaStudio got a price cut this week, two new apps joined the waitlist, and the photo tools in the menu found a new corner.
CremaStudio is now $11.99
CremaStudio, the layered photo editor, dropped from $14.99 to $11.99 as a one-time purchase. The feature set is untouched: PSD and RAW support, non-destructive adjustments, layer styles, spot healing, and content-aware fill, all on your Mac. We broke down the full feature list when it launched.
If you're on Solo Cup or Family Roast, nothing changes. CremaStudio was already included in the subscription. The lower price matters if you'd rather own one app outright than subscribe to anything. At $11.99 it sits well under most standalone editors without giving up the local-first promise.
Two apps on the way
TinyVideo is heading to Americano. It compresses video in place, no upload step. Drop a clip in, get a smaller clip out, no cloud round-trip. It's the video sibling of TinyImage, which already shrinks PNG, JPEG, and WebP on the same machine.
ScanStraightener is heading to Latte. It takes photos of documents and turns them into straight, searchable PDFs, no scanner needed. It pairs well with PDFCafe for the reading, annotating, and signing that come after the scan.
That's the house rule: the file never leaves your machine.
The Americano shelf is easier to find
The photo-and-image tools got a new home in the menu. Picacino now lives in Americano next to MergeImages, SteamBlur, and TinyImage. If you work with pictures, that's the section to browse: a photo manager, a collage maker, a face blurrer, an image compressor, and soon a video compressor, all in one row. We covered Picacino's launch in its own post back in August.
The savings number on the homepage ticked up along with the shuffle. Buying the 59 paid apps one at a time adds up to $566, so the bundle saves $471 in the first year. We recalculate that figure whenever the menu changes, so it stays honest.
CremaStudio is available now. TinyVideo and ScanStraightener will land in the coming weeks, and subscribers get them the moment they're ready. One subscription covers the whole menu, including everything we add later: start your free trial and see.
