Fresh Brews: CoffeeTime, GrindSession, and Band9 Join the Menu

Cold Brew gets two new productivity tools - automatic time tracking and a focus timer with built-in journaling. Americano adds its fourth live app with Band9, an IELTS prep tool now out of coming soon and ready to serve.

CoffeeTime: Automatic time tracking, no babysitting required

CoffeeTime lives in your menu bar and tracks what you're working on without asking. It notices which app is in front, how long you spend there, and builds a timeline of your day. You don't start timers or label sessions. You just work, and CoffeeTime handles the rest.

The data stays on your machine. No cloud sync, no account, no dashboard someone else can see. At the end of the day you get a clean breakdown: how long you spent in your editor, your browser, your email client. Useful if you bill by the hour. Useful if you just want to know where the afternoon went.

CoffeeTime joins Cold Brew alongside PressZip, PassBrew, BrewReader, MindNote, PomoLatte, and WallpaperBrew. That's eight apps in the Focus & Productivity category now, all included in your subscription.

GrindSession: Timed focus with a built-in journal

GrindSession is a focus timer with a twist. You set a session, work through it, and when the timer stops, you get a reflection prompt. What did you get done? What got in the way? The answers build into a journal you can look back on.

The productivity dashboard shows patterns over time: which hours you're most effective, how many sessions you complete in a week, whether your focus is trending up or sideways. It's the kind of data that helps you adjust your schedule instead of just staring at a timer.

GrindSession is local-first. Your journal entries and session data live on your machine. Nobody else sees them.

With CoffeeTime and GrindSession both landing in Cold Brew, the category now covers the full focus workflow: track your time, time your focus, and reflect on what worked.

Band9: IELTS prep goes native

Band9 was on the "coming soon" list last week. Now it's live in Americano.

It's an IELTS preparation app that builds adaptive study plans, runs you through exam-realistic practice tests, and scores your answers instantly. The band score feedback tells you exactly where you stand before you walk into the test center.

Americano is the Skills & Growth category. DualText for side-by-side translations, GrammarLatte for proofreading, NitroTranslate for cross-language work, and now Band9 for structured test prep. Four apps, all running locally on your machine.

Three more apps, one subscription. If you're already signed up, CoffeeTime, GrindSession, and Band9 are waiting in your menu. If you're not, the 7-day trial gives you access to all 45 apps with no credit card required.
