NitroFeed is a fast, native RSS reader for your Mac - subscribe to any site or blog and read every story in a clean, distraction-free view, fully offline.
Feeds live in the sidebar, articles in the middle, and a tidy reader on the right. Pick the layout that suits you and just read.
Highlights
- Clean reading view - full-text extraction pulls the whole article into a distraction-free reader, even when the feed only ships a short summary.
- Three layouts - split view, a compact list, or a newspaper-style grid - switch with one click.
- AI summarize & translate - turn any article into a short summary and translate it into your language in one tap (bring your own API key).
- Smart views - All, Unread and Starred, each with a live count.
- Folders & organization - group feeds into folders and drag to reorder them.
- Star & catch up - star articles for later, mark all read, or multi-select to act on many at once.
- OPML import & export - bring subscriptions over from any other reader, or take yours with you. Just drag an OPML file onto the window.
- Feed favicons - every source shows its real site icon, so the list is easy to scan.
- Search - find articles by title or text across all your feeds.
- Light & dark - follows your system theme automatically.
How it works
Add a feed by URL (or import an OPML file) and NitroFeed pulls in the latest articles. Browse from the sidebar, open a story to read the full text in the reader, and star anything worth keeping. Everything is stored locally in a small SQLite database - no account, no cloud, and it works offline.
Perfect for
- News & blog readers who want one quiet place for all their feeds.
- Anyone switching readers - import your OPML and pick up right where you left off.
- Readers of other languages - summarize and translate long articles in a tap.
- Privacy-minded readers - everything runs and stays on your Mac.
