TouchCafe Is Now Live: Customize Every Gesture and Shortcut on Your Mac

What TouchCafe Actually Does
The core idea is simple: pick a trigger, pick an action, pick where it works.
Three trigger types feed into one dispatcher:
- Trackpad gestures: multi-finger swipes, pinch, rotate, and one-finger circles pulled from real Magic Trackpad input. Each gesture has tunable thresholds so it fires when you mean it to.
- Extra mouse buttons: bind the middle, back, forward, and side buttons on practically any mouse. Regular left and right clicks stay untouched.
- Global keyboard shortcuts: system-wide hotkeys alongside your gestures and buttons.
Once you've picked a trigger, you choose what it does. Open an app, a URL, or a file. Run a shell script or a Shortcuts.app shortcut. Type a saved keystroke. Snap a window to halves, quarters, or fill. Chain several steps into one sequence.
Everything can be scoped per-app. A binding fires everywhere or only in the apps you pick, and can require modifier keys to be held.
There's also a Live View that shows your gestures being recognized in real time before you commit them. Bound actions are blocked while you test, so nothing misfires. It's the kind of thoughtful detail that makes TouchCafe feel like a tool built by someone who actually uses it.
What Sets It Apart
TouchCafe does a few things that other input customizers don't.
First, it's local-first. Bindings live in a SQLite file on your Mac. You can export them to JSON and carry your setup to another machine or back it up. There's a master switch that pauses everything instantly. Nothing phones home.
