Most people open CleanMyMac for one reason: the disk is nearly full and they want the junk gone. That's a real job, but on the Mac App Store it's $39.99 a year to keep doing it. And a lot of people would like to see exactly what a cleaner is about to delete before it deletes it.
DripCleaner is a small cleanup tool that finds caches, logs, leftover app data, forgotten downloads and big folders, then hands you the controls. One scan sizes up the whole machine. Nothing is touched until you say so.
Light, quick, and on Mac and Windows
- A tiny download. DripCleaner for Mac is 5.5 MB. CleanMyMac on the Mac App Store is 159.4 MB. On Windows, DripCleaner is about 3.5 MB.
- No waiting around. Scan once from the Overview and every category is already filled in. Open any of them and the results are right there, no rescan.
- On more than one system. There's a Mac build, a Windows build, and one for Windows on ARM.
What you can do in it
- See one number first. The Overview scans every category and shows how much space you can get back, with a breakdown you can drill into.
- Clear the safe junk. User caches, logs, crash reports, developer-tool caches and browser caches, grouped so you can check each group before you clear it.
- Find the big stuff. Large & Old Files lists files of 100 MB or more in Downloads, Documents, Movies and Desktop, biggest first.
- Find out where the space went. Space Lens lets you drill into folders with a size bar on every row. Nothing in it can be deleted, so you can poke around safely.
- Clear out old apps. The Uninstaller sorts your apps by size, and Extensions finds startup items left behind by apps you already removed.
- Review before anything goes. Every item has a size and a checkbox. Your own files and apps stay unchecked until you pick them, and safe items go to the Trash so you can undo.
Who it's for
Anyone who just got the "disk almost full" warning and wants to clear space without guessing. Developers buried in DerivedData and build caches. People whose Downloads folder hasn't been cleaned in years. And anyone who'd rather tick boxes themselves than trust a single button.
When to stick with CleanMyMac
CleanMyMac also scans for malware, cleans up cloud storage, and has optimization tools. DripCleaner does none of that. It's a cleanup and disk tool, not a security app. If malware protection is the reason you pay for CleanMyMac, keep it.
What it costs
DripCleaner isn't sold on its own. It comes with a getapps.cafe membership, from $1.99 a month on the annual plan, and that includes every other app on the menu too. There's a 7-day free trial, so you can run a scan on your own machine before paying anything.
