Pixpresso is a lightweight image viewer & editor built for the everyday moments when you don't want to (or shouldn't have to) launch Photoshop: crop a screenshot, straighten a phone photo, mark up an image for a teammate, resize before sending.
Open one image and Pixpresso lists every image in the same folder in the sidebar — turning it into a real viewer, not just a one-shot editor.
Highlights
- Folder browsing — thumbnail sidebar with inline rename and a right-click menu for duplicate, delete, and move-to-trash.
- Copy text from images — extract text from any image; select all or drag to highlight just the part you need, then copy straight to the clipboard.
- Crop — drag to select or type exact X / Y / W / H; choose an aspect ratio (free, 1:1, 3:2, 4:3, 16:9, and more).
- Resize — change dimensions with optional aspect-ratio lock; the preview shows the actual output pixel size.
- Rotate & flip — 90° left/right and horizontal/vertical flip, written straight to the file.
- Annotate — rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow, free-draw, and text with custom color & stroke; group, reorder layers, undo / redo, multi-select.
- Filter — brightness / contrast / saturation / blur sliders plus 9 preset looks (Sepia, Vintage, Polaroid, Kodachrome…) with a per-preset intensity slider.
- Export — JPG / WebP / HEIC with a per-format quality slider.
- Session reset — revert to the version before your first save in this session, even after multiple edits.
- Open from Finder — drag-and-drop a file or folder onto the window, or right-click an image and choose Open With → Pixpresso .

Perfect for
- Cleaning up screenshots — crop the chrome, draw an arrow, save back over the file.
- Extract text from images — pull the address off a screenshot, the code out of a photo, the quote from a slide; select, copy, paste.
- Design & bug feedback — circle the broken pixel, label the spacing issue, send.
- Resizing before sharing — knock a 24-megapixel photo down to the size your CMS actually wants.
- Triaging photo folders — page through a shoot with arrow keys, rename or delete as you go.
- Quick rotate & straighten — fix portrait phone shots that imported sideways, no re-export required.
